NEW BEGINNINGS 2008: Create Inner Peace
Ironically, most of us struggle with the practice of inner peace. There are many distractions that we spend time focusing on throughout the day (i.e. the kids are fighting, finances are tight, missed yoga class [again], the boss is micro managing my job too much, not enough alone time for me and my spouse or friends, stuck in traffic, and on and on...). Recognizing where our focus lies is the first step to creating inner peace. There is an old Chinese proverb that says: Man doesn't trip over a mountain, he trips over a pebble. We as humans have a tendency to focus on the small annoyances (pebbles) and allow ourselves to be tripped up by them. We can learn to create inner peace by focusing on the bigger picture of loving kindness and self acceptance and letting go of these small issues that taint the peacefulness we crave. Should you find your focus drifting to the unpleasant, give yourself permission to notice it, feel it and with five deep breaths let go and refocus on peace. You will be happier for it. |

NEW BOOK RELEASE COMING SOON:
A Guide to Zenful Dance Meditation
This handbook explores Zenful Dance, the 7-modality moving meditation that flows using breath as the rhythm and each modality to represent the different parts of our lives: how we relate to ourselves and to others. Zenful Dance has reached many in the United States and continues to grow both within the Buddhist communities and non-religious, professional arenas alike. We look forward to seeing this release on the shelves of book stores everywhere very soon.
